I found this large t-shirt for a QUARTER at the thrift store (with a bunch of others just like it) I bought it originally to use as painting shirt until I came across another blog where a girl changed it into a dress.
I feel as though it makes me look a bit square.
The sleeves were pretty long.
The shoulder length was too long so with the shirt on, I marked where my actual shoulder was.
Then I cut off the middle section.
The sleeve was now shorter than the shirt so I had to sew the remainder section.
I next sewed the sleeve back to the shirt.
Now for the elastic waist! I took my elastic and measured it around my waist.
With the dress back on, I started pinning where the elastic would go. (I also turned it around to the back) I then sewed the elastic down.
...add a belt and DONE!
Yay! New cute dress!
No longer large and baggy!
Here's what it looks like without the belt.
