This pretty epic shiny top actually came with matching shiny blue pants, I just don't have them shown. What to do with a shiny polyester top...
OH, AND IT HAS SHOULDER PADS!
First things first, begone with you shoulder pads! These were sewn it at two places, so I took my scissors and cut them off.
I laid the shirt out flat to get an idea of where are all the seam lines are. I wanted to change this into a tank top, I just wasn't sure of the shape yet.
I cut the sleeves off so that the shirt would be even.
Then I cut the collar off and turned the front of the shirt to the back.
Then, I cut along the collar to change the neckline.
I tried the shirt back on and measured how much needed to be taken it. Time to sew it smaller!
I tried it back on just to double check the fit. It fit perfectly, so I took my waffle scissors and cut off the excess! (you cut with the waffle scissors so that the garment will not fray)
AND IT SNOWED! YAY!!!! So I had to take the opportunity to take pictures in the snow!
don't worry, it was legit FREEZING outside!
