This top was too big and contained a whole lot of boning.
(Boning is my enemy.)
I sat in front of the mirror for about 20 minutes pinching this dress.
....how do I make it smaller???
I actually generally avoid complex clothes because they are so hard to cut apart and put back together...
This meant cutting out this awful boning. GOODBYE!
I then pinned it together to try it on.
Then I sewed the seams back together.
I was actually dancing in circles.
I've done illusion neck lines before but I'm never smart enough to copy the pattern.
Due to this, there is always a bit of trial and error. Clearly my head does not fit through the neck hole.
I added beads in the middle.
We were setting up a photo booth.
We pose like goof balls in the test shots.
Kyle had purchased an old guitar at a pawn shop for the parts (for another project.)
The guitar was such an amazing hit and people LOVED posing with it.
I think that it gets serious points since the base dress was .50cents! The chiffon was about $2.00 but I have a lot left over.
