There are tons of watermelon tutorials floating around and I just really wanted to try one myself! It became a little easier to justify when I was already dying something else green.
I already had this pink hoodie. I actually have no idea where this sweater shirt came from. But it is pretty perfect for my watermelon adventures.
I had to dip the bottom of the sweat shirt into the dye. This gets to be my awkward photo of the day!
I added some black acrylic paint to make the watermelon seeds.
There is nothing like wet paint and a please do not sit there to attract your favorite friend to come sit on your work.

After letting the shirt dry and waiting for Molly to have a good cat nap, we headed out for a day on the river! I am rocking these $1 fo-Ray Bands. Never, ever, wear your real sunglasses around water and a 2 year old. Not a great combo...
I asked my brother in law how he found this spot on the river. He works for the power company so he responded "Do you see that power plant? That's how!" Gotta love engineers.
