Tote bags are one of my favorite things to use in my everyday life and completely forget EVERY TIME I GO TO THE GROCERY STORE. None the less, I still love remaking tote bags and using them to carry around everything else. One day I will remember them at the store.
When I was dying the skirt and shirt, I wanted to dye just the bottom of the bag. The skirt and shirt are already in the dye. The bag really didn't want to absorb the dye so I had to poke it it in there and mix it around a little bit. My friend always says "You have to encourage the luck." In my case, "Bag, you want the dye, yes you do!" The bag was dry when I put it in the dye. It probably would have worked better if I had wet the bag first.
The bag took the dye the best and was a very true orange.
Here's my cool artsy photo with funky background. I liked that the dye had a "rough" sort of edge.
