I was looking through my pile of scraps when I came across this top part of a yellow polo. Yes, that's fine, I keep a scrap pile. It's for my master plan!
It's the top from this polo!
It's made out of a textured cotton that really doesn't fray or loose it's shape. What shall I do? Scallops time! I cut out a paper template and then started tracing.
I did the same for the back. (I turned the shirt around so the buttons would be in the back.) I had to take it in a bit because I wanted the crop top to be tight.
Now for the premade skirt! I found this premade skirt at Joann's forever ago and never made it. They are pretty cool because you just measure your waist and wa-la a skirt!
I put the skirt on my waist and took a guestimate as to where I should take it in and sewed a straight line.
Then waffle scissored off the excess.
Tada- skirt and crop top! I am wearing a swim suit under it because without the cardigan, this would be a fun outfit to wear to a pool party. AND, if you happen to get thrown in (without shoes on of course) your outfit would be A-ok!
One shirt into a skirt and crop top!
