I found this awesome velvety green long dress that I thought was perfect for this season. It is warm and silky all at the same time!
I wanted to cut the length short. This can be difficult when your little buddy helps.
Out of the leftovers, I cut it twice so I would have a longer strip.
I had three pieces so I sewed them together.
I took this strip and made big pleats and then sewed it to the top part of the dress.
I wanted the top of the dress to have more structure so I seam ripped open the back seam.
I then took a zipper and sewed it back in place. I didn't have a matching zipper so I selected a grey zipper.
I then took in the sides a little bit.
