When I was remaking this long red skirt,
Into this cute new one,
I ended up with a lot of extra material. I love the color and the pattern and it is PERFECT for this time of the year. It wasn't very wide but it was super long! It was so long that I had to cut part of it off so I could repurpose it for a scarf!
One side of it had a finished edge while one side was still a raw edge. I hemmed up the raw side.
I then cut the ends in very tiny strips so it would have a frayed look.
Part of my family is going away for Christmas so we decided to do Christmas early. This year we wanted to spice it up and make things fun. We did a white elephant gift exchange called "Free Christmas" where you have a $10 gift limit, but all the presents must be something you already have or hand made. It was REALLY funny. I'd recommend it :)
This is one of my actual gifts from my family but I love the packaging!
