When I tried on this dress, I was instantly in love. The material is super soft and the dress had a fun flare to it. I loved the shoulder details and the way the skirt flowed.
I almost didn't want to cut it at all, but I would never wear it this way, so it needed to be refashioned!
I had to cut some of the length off and didn't have anything to measure the skirt with. I used this catalog I found as a guide.
And then hemmed the raw edges. *I also took in the sides of the top by half an inch. None of the pictures were very exciting however...*
And now this dress has new life! The cold weather decided to give us a break today so it was nice, breezy and sunny!
And then inside to pick out some yummy food for lunch!
I got attached by a giant spider. It was a rough day!
I loved the sleeve detail so I changed nothing about it.
The skirt still had it's amazing twirl!
So I naturally started dancing and acting really silly. I liked this photo because it showed the slightly "dropped waist" really well.
oh and it had a super cute back as well!
This is me trying to dance. You can tell that I am pretty terrible!
