When I found this shirt, I loved that it had a two tone quality, but I didn't realize how long it was. This is the joy of being short, I can turn a too long shirt into a dress!
This shirt had the patterned part in the perfect place and made me feel a bit 70's :)
I grabbed my seam ripper and started attacking the collar.
I started at one side and started seam ripping and pulling the stitches out.
I went to sew the collar back together at my sewing machine station. When I got there, the chair was much heavier than before...
I seam ripped the collar out so that there would be a nice clean edge to sew back together.
I wanted to keep the sleeves but they were too large so I took them in.
I messed up the first time, so I tried it on and sewed it smaller again. Then I cut off the excess.
I then added a belt and now I have a cute shirt dress!
Pattern Close up! I liked that the pattern hit right at my natural waist.
