I found this polka dotted dress at a thrift store and let me tell you, I love a good polka dot. I also really love dresses with sleeves.
OH AND IT HAS POCKETS! I LOVE POCKETS!
STOP WITH THESE SHOULDER PADS!
This pattern isn't exactly polka dotted... it looked more like mini golf balls.
But it's ok, because this pattern is reserved!
First, I removed the shoulder pads because my shoulders looked HUGE in this dress.
These shoulder pads are big enough to make a purse out of...
Next, I marked where I wanted the dress to hit and I cut it using my waffle scissors. Using the polka dots as a guide line, I cut it straight across.
I really, really love dresses with sleeves. These sleeves had an extra layer in it make it super puff out. I cut this out first but no matter what I did, the sleeves just looked weird. So...I cut them off!
I changed the neckline from straight across to a v-neck because this pattern was so big that it was swallowing me!
out eating yummy sandwiches!
Full length picture! This dress was perfect for getting lunch and running around town. It is extremely soft and when I went running around in it, I felt like Zooey Daschanel!
