I have been so excited about a Hokie Alumni picnic and I went back and forth on what to wear.... Should I wear maroon, should I wear orange??? hmmm... maybe I will wear grey! Virginia Tech's motto is "Ut Promsim" which means "That I may serve." I started with this grey shirt and ran to my Silhouette Cameo. I am seriously obsessed with this thing. If I haven't convinced you that you should buy one, I am not sure who can! The link is below :)
We won't get into how much a logoed shirt like this would cost from the bookstore because I have no idea! I really like this idea because it can be made in under an hour (paint drying time!) and is a great option when you need something and the bookstore is about 4 hours away! I grabbed some .50 cent craft sore acrylic paint and started painting. I typically use makeup sponges that can be purchased at the Dollar store (they come in like a 200 pack!)
I'm sort of obsessed with volunteering and my Hokie Alumni chapter so I was able to man the alumni tent!
It was a great opportunity to meet so many new people!
Our chapter was able to give away 7 scholarships to upcoming freshmen in the area! It's amazing to see how hard work can help touch so many lives!
My booth had these really cool RVA Hokie Sponge things so I had to play with them.
I found these Ann Taylor Loft (my size!) orange shorts at the Thrifty Quaker Thrift store and was in LOVE. I have never seen orange shorts that I actually liked before. I was SOOO excited! The only downside- we were given orange volunteer shirts. That's just alot of orange.
