I'm an unofficial member of my local garden club and was invited to attend a wreath decorating class. I decided that I wanted to wear something festive as well as something that would match my wreath.
Check it out, this dress even has little flower details!
First, I had to get rid of these awesome shoulder pads. They match my nails!
And then lined up where I wanted to cut the dress by using the pattern. *side note* If you are just starting out sewing, this is such a simple way to cut a straight line :)!
Then I turned it over twice using a pretty red thread.
Wreath time! A master floral judge helped make the base of my wreath which is why it looks so great. When I got into class, the teacher said, "Create!" and I completely froze. I might have a degree in Architecture, but I am absolutely terrible at floral design!
The master at work! If you are decorating wreaths, it is best to be able to look at what you are making while it is hanging rather than laying flat. Peg boards=great holders!
All the ladies working away on their wreaths.
Here is my wreath! I paired my dress with a vintage maroon velvet belt, my black leggings and tall brown boots.
If you like games, we played this pretty social deduction game at my board game night. I didn't take a picture due to the fact that we were almost crying from laughter. You can check out more about it here:
